The Spirit of Inspiration
Lemon Z is a spirit of inspiration. A spirit with the purity of sweet
lemons, the traditions of Italian limoncello, the sacred waters of
Waikimihia and an undeniably divine taste.
The home of Lemon Z is the breathtaking Bay of Islands. With 144 islands and miles of untouched coastline it’s a place people go to lose themselves. But this is also the place where James Grigg discovered his inspiration.
Having previously just moved to the Bay of Islands, James realised that the high quality of lemon oils found in the skin of Yen Ben lemons, grown here in this the citrus capital of New Zealand, could produce a Limoncello of world class. As an experienced Winemaker, a graduate of South Australia's prestigious Roseworthy College, James proceeded to experiment by adjusting many of the factors involved in making Limoncello, along with the careful selection of lemons, alcohol and spring water. The result in the first year saw Lemon Z being judged the best limoncello at London's 'International Wine & Spirit Competition'.
Lemon Z limoncello is delicious served direct from the freezer, poured over ice, or as a fresh ingredient in a range of new and specially crafted cocktails. It is a fresh, unique taste that is sure to inspire you.
