Less than 25% of categories in this competition are awarded gold. Judges comments;

'Powerfully pungent nose just bursting with fresh lemon. Mouth is alive with lemon flavours and the lemon zestiness is well balanced by just the right amount of sugar sweetness. Underlying hint of attractive bitterness helps the overall appeal. Delightfully refreshing.'

Founded in 1961, this prestigious competition has also judged Lemon Z to be the best limoncello.

March 2007 San Francisco World Spirit Competition

Some of the other names in this single liqueur category to attain Silver were Grand Marnier, Baileys, Kahlua and others (see www.sfspiritscomp.com). One other limoncello also received silver.
